CNR 2012: Participants: Steven Canvin, LEGO GROUP A/S (DNK)

Steven Canvin is the LEGO® MINDSTORMS® Community Manager at the LEGO Group, working with the ever-growing global community around the award-winning LEGO MINDSTORMS robotics franchise. The LEGO MINDSTORMS products allow children [of all ages, from 10 and up] to design, build and program their own robotic inventions.

Steven has worked with the robotics category since 1998, when the first generation of robotics products were launched, and have been involved in all aspects of product development and distribution, starting as Senior Concept Designer for the brand.

Over the years he has moved from Design Manager to Business Development Manager to hold the position as Senior Marketing Manager for LEGO MINDSTORMS.

Cafe Neu Romance - LEGO LOGO

Working with the LEGO MINDSTORMS community has involved a global network of contacts in academia, the robotics industry and other technology partners, like NASA, Google, Microsoft and the X PRIZE Foundation. The work has included numerous presentations and exhibitions at international events like the World Robot Olympiad, SouthbySouthWest (SXSW), Kennedy Space Center and the Google I/O conference, a.o.

Steven Canvin has a background as Graphic Artist/Designer in the pre-press industry and video graphics artist in commercial broadcast industry, having worked in both Denmark and England.

He is 45 years, and lives in Daugaard, Denmark.
