CNR 2013: Exhibition: Verner Brems (DNK)
He has his own company and works with fine- & commercial art.
He's a member of the Danish Association of Visual Artist and PAND INTERNATIONAL (Performers and Artists for Nuclear Disarmament).
RUR-Employees:
Verner Brems will exhibit 6 cut-out figures collage/paintings,
which all are inspired of the employees in Karel Capek's famous
sci-fi play: Rossum's Universal Robots (RUR), and from the world of
comic paper and advertising. The audience will have the possibility
to see how Harry Domin, his wife Helena Glory and other characters
looks like in this twisted, grotesque, and humourous
reinterpretation. In RUR-Employees, there are strings back to old
romantic movies, nostalgia and to the scenography of the legendary
Czech animator Karel Zeman's adaptation of the novels of Jules
Verne.
