CNR 2014: Exhibition: Sigrid Rødli (NOR): The Golem
Sigrid Rødli is a Norwegian Artist and
Illustrator, currently living in Manchester, England. She attended
Norges Kreative Fagskole in Norway, and then went on to complete a
BA in Graphic Design and Illustration at the University of
Hertfordshire in England.
She works in different media, but mainly focuses on painting and drawing with pens and pencil. In 2012 and 2013 she participated in the New Designers exhibition in London, and she has also been part of local art events in Norway.
The Golem
The illustration "The Golem" was inspired by "The Golem" by Gustav Meyrink, and Sigrid's visit to Prague. It was intended to show a place where reality and dream was intertwined and not easily distinguished from each other. A place full of fear of a perceived but unseen threat and a place where anything could happen.
