CNR 2014: Lectures: Czech Technical University (CZE): Vaclav Hlavac (CZE): Dual-arm robotic manipulation with flexible objects as clothes
Vaclav Hlavac is a Professor of technical cybernetics, head of the Center Machine Perception.
His reasearch interest is computer vision, reconstruction of 3D scenes from 2D images, analysis of videosekvences, cognitive systems, pattern recognition with emphasis to relation between statistical and structural methods, robotics, industrial and other applications of the above.
While teaching and writing textbooks I created several teaching or tutorial presentations. The files with presentations in pdf are available in English and/or in Czech.
Dual-arm robotic manipulation with flexible objects as
clothes
I will introduce the task of dual-arm robotic
perception/manipulation with soft materials, pieces of garment in
our particular case. The methods/results are related to EC funded
project CloPeMa.
The talk will formulate the task, several open scientific issues in
it as well as our results in unfolding / folding trousers, shirts,
t-shirts, etc. The CloPeMa test-bed based on industrial
manipulators is used in our experiments.
