Matthias Paul Scholz is a long-time member of various LEGO MINDSTORMS community programs of LEGO, author of a number of successful books and DVDs on MINDSTORMS and an official "LEGO Robot Expert".

He is editor of "The NXT STEP", one of the most popular MINDSTORMS blogs world-wide, and of the German-speaking MINDSTORMS blog "Die NXTe Ebene".

Having been active in the MINDSTORMS community since its early days in 1998 as a robot builder, software tool developer and lecturer, he has shown his creations at LEGO events all over the world.

His main interest in MINDSTORMS is related to small robots cooperating with each other and interacting with their environment, thus exploring the possibilities MINDSTORMS offers everyone to conduct robotics.

Lately, he is started to engage into robotics as an art.
